Our Firm was founded by Late Shri Mohinder Pal Puri on August 6, 1954. He was fondly known as 'Puri Sahib' in the fraternity. Puri Sahib was one of the first few chartered accountants of the country, as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India was established only in the year 1949. He was also a lawyer, though he practiced as a Chartered Accountant.
As early as in 1950s and 1960s, Puri Sahib focussed on advising, especially foreign companies, in the areas of foreign collaboration, investment and international taxation.He was one of the first professionals to be elected as President of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi, and he was also nominated to Central Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.Puri Sahib was a man of profound wisdom and his focus was always on quality of work rather than quantity.
Unfortunately, with the sudden demise of Puri Sahib in 1987, clouds of gloom shadowed our Firm. There were numerous tasks and dreams which were left unfulfilled and the Mentor was no more. It was then that Mr. C.S. Mathur, Mr. Vikas Vig with the team members and well-wishers, took over the reins of the Firm. It is indeed very fortunate that we have been able to continue the name, values and vision of our Mentor till date.
